Getting started

There are different ways to get involved in this project.

1. Firstly, you can make friendship bands for others. You can make them for old friends, for new people you meet or for those whom you think may be having a tough time. A band may cheer people up or let them know that someone is thinking of them.

2. Secondly, you, your class or group could send a sample band onto other schools to extend friendship. The school could be in a different part of your own country or in another country of the world. You could also make them aware of the friendship seed project.

3. Lastly, you could consider making some friendship bands to be joined up to the longest friendship band ever made. See our instructions page for how to make friendship bands. You can start small – make a single band. If you feel enthused, you could decide to create a batch of any size.
